Finally had a moment to read this. Seeing more of Shona is a nice change of pace and Victor got put in his place as well! Eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
I have no doubt of that. You've got quite a few moving pieces you are trying to display in just the right order, and when the dust settles which is the best angle to give your readers? the best lens and focus? the best seat in the house with a front row view and the lighting is the best.
Meanwhile you the author are painting this picture from the nosebleed section while holding a pair of binoculars trying to catch all of the action of the show in the main ring, but of course you are in a row of screaming snot nosed brats that have to run past you as often as they can making a game of trying to annoy you. Seated behind who can only be described as Andre the giant with a big booming laugh drinking and carousing with his buddies in his row. And just as you are putting the finishing touches on your painting just 2 rows over there is a gentleman yelling loudly above the crowd that he has peanuts, popcorn, hotdogs, and fresh beer available.
You know I'm going to have to save that description. I may just draw that scene myself for sale. I'm sure it would identify with a lot of people.
Mostly, I want to bring it to a psychologically satisfying conclusion and have to work within the constraint of doing so almost entirely through sex scenes.
