So it’s “Locktober”, when chastity enthusiasts try to spend an entire month locked. It’s like the kinky reverse version of NaNoWriMo when wannabe authors try to draft a novel in a month.
You can do Locktober however you like.
For some wearers, especially chastecels, it’s a shared sensual adventure and they post tips about getting off by e-stim and anal.
However, the traditional approach is to stay locked 24/7/31, or at least as much as possible, and not to have an orgasm in that time. Everybody benefits from the support of fellow travellers, and those in relationships can use it as an excuse to take chastity further than normal, but without the keyholder feeling responsible.
I think the reason for doing this, like NaNoWriMo, is to demonstrate that you can.

If you have successfully completed Locktober, then you’ve proved yourself capable of completing a month of chastity on demand.
Your chastity cage is practical for your lifestyle. You can cope with the sexual frustration. You can commit to a month — which takes you beyond the notorious 2-week peak frustration — and deliver on that.
A playful Keyholder can now be confident that she can sentence you to extended lockup on whim, without fallout. That’s liberating for her, and scary for you.
A sterner Virgo (who regards chastity as neutering lite) now knows that you can do chastity for real, and is likely to be cheerfully ruthless from now on. Careful what you wish for.
If the purpose is to demonstrate that you can manage a month locked, then it’s worth considering what else you are demonstrating to your partner (if you have one).
Even the most playful Keyholder doesn’t want to be pestered 24/7 just because you’re locked 24/7. The Virgo, meanwhile, doesn’t want to spend a month with you obsessed by your dick and alternative ways to get off, nor does she want to have to deal with your unrealistic attempts to nudge her into behaving like a Keyholder.
So, do Locktober to demonstrate that you can handle a month chaste, but more importantly, if you are partnered, do it to demonstrate that it’s enjoyable or at least not unpleasant to have you locked for that time.
And that, for me, is the true meaning of Locktober.
